GMOs set a grave trend – in more ways than one

Dear Editor,

Re: An Ounce of Prevention by Miranda Holmes

It is wonderful to read Miranda in The Shingle. She gets to the point of what we need to know.

As a food activist of many years, I would like to add that the cancer industry ignores the pollutants we put in our body every day, as food.

There is outright evidence that GMO foods are linked to cancer. I suggest watching anything online from Jeffrey Smith, for logic and facts about the dangers of GMOs to our health and to the environment.

Better yet, if you are seriously concerned about preventing cancer, get yourself a copy of the new 85 min. movie by Smith called Genetic Roulette, The Gamble of Our Lives. This compelling documentary, just released, exposes how the allowing of an infant technology, GMO crops,  into our environment and food supply was a gamble of unprecedented proportions.

After two decades, physicians and scientists have uncovered a grave trend. The same serious problems found in lab animals, livestock and pets that eat GMO foods, are now on the rise in the North American population. And when people and animals stop eating genetically modified organisms, their health improves!

You can watch it online for $2.99, the price of a cup of coffee. If you are concerned about cancer, and other diseases, stop eating GMO foods.
