Gabriolan Jason Cramer’s defence was Tuesday granted a trial confirmation hearing adjournment until Sept. 25, court workers confirm.
A trial confirmation is a hearing to make sure both Crown and defence are ready for trial.
Cramer was charged August 2011 with second degree murder in the stabbing death of Gabriolan Elaine Schwartz, and attempted murder in the stabbing of Trevor Schwartz.
Court records show a preliminary inquiry – or a hearing to decide whether there is enough evidence to hold a trial – has been set by the Crown for Oct. 19 , with trial dates scheduled from Oct. 22 to 26.
