Gabriolan Adrian Picketts-Yoxall, 20, has pleaded guilty to common assault in response to charges related to an Aug. 11 incident at one South Gabriola home, and Eli Williams, 20, pleaded guilty to common assault and break of recognisance, regarding charges laid after an Aug. 17 incident at another home off South Road, according to their lawyer Peter Gibb.
Gibb said Picketts-Yoxall was given 12 months’ probation, while Williams will serve a six month conditional sentence – or a term spent under a number of conditions such as a house arrest or curfew– and one year probation.
Gibb said all other charges against the two have been dropped.
As previously reported, the men were originally charged with break and enter and assault, after the Aug. 11 incident, and with assault, uttering threats to cause death, and breach of recognisance after the Aug. 17 episode.
