The Gabriola Local Trust Committee has appointed a new Advisory Planning Commission (APC).

Trustee Gisele Rudischer said June 30 that the new commissioners, appointed at the June 28 LTC meeting at the WI Hall, are: Nancy Crozier, Deborah Ferens, Alex Hodson, Steve O’Neill, James Prunty, Deb Scott, and Lisa Webster-Gibson.

Rudischer said in applying for a seat on the APC, Ferens asked to step down from a position on the Transportation Advisory Commission. Rudischer said Phillip Vannini was appointed to the transportation commission in Ferens’ place.

As previously reported, the LTC issued two invitations to sit on the APC this term, as not enough applicants answered to first round of calls.

APCs are meant to advise local trust committees on proposed bylaws, permits, and general land-use and community planning.
