Your editorial in The Shingle last week made some very relevant points. I would like to think that the Gabriola Radio Society (GRS) “team” took note.
I’m not optimistic however, judging from GRS President Ken Zakreski’s response to a question posed at the community meeting. When asked if he would stop pushing for a radio station and a communications tower if the majority of Gabriolans voted “no” in a public process, the “community radio” minded response could have been “yes”.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get that response.
