The founders of The Haven on Gabriola Island are celebrating the Nanaimo launch of their new book The Illuminated Heart: Perspectives on East-West Psychology and Thought at The Diners Rendezvous, 489 Wallace Street, on June 28 (7.30pm, doors open 6pm). All are very welcome.

In The Illuminated Heart, Jock McKeen and Bennet Wong, who founded The Haven in 1983, distill a lifetime’s investigation of the theory and practice of Western psychology and classical Chinese philosophy and medicine. They trace the personalities and ideas from East and West that have influenced their own lives and their work with people in North America, Asia and around the globe.
