The Commons Covenant Working Group is pleased to announce that a second draft of the covenant to protect the Commons in perpetuity for the community of Gabriola has now been sent off to the two potential Covenant Holders: The Land Conservancy of BC and the Gabriola Land & Trails Trust.

This version differs considerably from the first in that it seeks to conserve not only the land but also the cultural-social relationship of the land to the community.
